Biography

 

 

ho kah yeng 

Kah Yeng has already completed her RAD Advanced 2 examinations and is awarded with ARAD. She has been awarded her Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies by RAD in year 2013. Furthermore, she is also The Dance Society of Malaysia's (TDS) solo classical ballet competition coordinator for year 2017-2018. One of her highlighted performance was being invited to perform in a dance festival at China in year 2008. Currently, she has over 6 years of teaching experience and is our principal's assistant.

chong jia wen (carmen)- head of setia alam

Carmen started dancing at the age of 5. She's completed her RAD Advanced 2. She has also participated in various major dance productions by Dance Space and her highlighted role was as a soloist during "Giselle" (2015) and "Romeo and Juliet" (2016). In 2013, the participated in DPAC's Dancer's Training Program majoring in classical ballet and got awarded the Student Encouragement Award . She also receive the Dancenap-Sansha Award (Modern) during a classical ballet competition TDS in year 2016. Beside that , she has 8 years of experience teaching in ballet and is currently the head educator of Setia Alam. Currently, she is pursuing a Degree in Music at Segi College.


Lim Jie jing -head of empire klang 

Jie Jing started dancing at the tender age of 6 under the guidance and tutelage of Dance Space Academy. Currently, graduated with RAD Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) in year 2017 and passed Advanced 2 with distinction in year 2012, and also trained in the Dancer's Training Program for 2 years at Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC).  Highlights of her dancing career includes, participating in the opening act of "The World Ballet Super Star Gala” (2014) and “Carmen” (2015), performing the principal role in "Giselle" (2015), been an apprentice and company dancer with DPAC Dance Company (DDC) from 2014-2016; worked with international choreographers and toured with the company to Japan, India and East Malaysia, won 4th place and The Patron Award to Singapore Dance Theatre at TDS competition 2012, choreographing for Dance Space Children Concert like "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (2017) and more. She has a teaching experience of 8 years with Dance Space Academy and is currently the lead educator of Empire Subang.

SIA YEE WOON (EVON)- HEAD OF EMPIRE SUBANG

Evon started dancing at the age of 5 under tutelage of Datin Jane and has completed RAD syllabus up to Advance 2, and also joined the first batch of Dancer Training Program (DTP) by DPAC and in year 2013. She performed in most of the Dance Space's major productions, in soloist roles. Highlights of her dancing career is dancing the principal role in "Cinderella" (2010) , guest performed the role of Juliet for a live orchestra performance "Very Shakespeare" at KLPAC (2016). , and winning 3rd place at TDS solo classical competition in 2016.  She has also choreographed for past Dance Space Children Concerts namely "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (2017). Currently she is positioned as one of the Lead Dance Educator for Empire Subang branch with 8 years of teaching experiences


tan qiao han (hanaa)-head of bukit tinggi

Started dancing at the age of 4. She completed the RAD Advanced 2 qualification with a distinction in 2012, trained in Dancer Training Programme (DTP) at DPAC in 2013 and 2014, and she has completed her Certidicate of Ballet Teaching Studies in 2017. She participated in various dance production with Dance Space. Her repertoire highlights with Dance Space include roles as the stepsister and the queen in “Cinderella” (2010), the soloist of the big swan in “The Swan Lake” (2012), Queen of the Willis and Princess in “Giselle” (2015) and main soloist in "Romeo and Juliet" (2016). She also choreographed the children concert “Wonderland” (2015) and “The Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs “(2017). In 2011, Hanaa joined JS Dance Theatre as a full-time dancer. Hanaa was also a finalist of The Dance Society Malaysia (TDS) Solo Classical Ballet Competition in 2012, 2014 and 2015. She also performed with The KL Dance Works Production, “The World Ballet Super Star Gala” in 2014 and “Carmen” in2015. In 2015, she joined DPAC Dance Company, and has participated in dance festivals working with various internationally artist and also toured with the company to Singapore, Japan, India and East Malaysia. Currently, she is the head dance instructor at Dance Space Bukit Tinggi with 8 years of teaching experience.

ch'ng kim ying (michelle) 

Michelle started dancing at the age of seven in Dance Space and has completed the RAD Advanced 2 with Distinction. She had many performance experience with Dance Space and other organisations, one of the highlights is participating in the opening act of World Ballet Stars Gala 2014, one of the soloist for "Giselle" in year 2015. She was also a finalist in The Dance Society of Malaysia (TDS) Solo Classical Ballet Competition in 2012 and 2016 and won 4th place in 2014. Currently, she has more than 3 years of teaching experience in Dance Space.


liau jia xin 

Jia Xin started dancing at the age of 6 with ballet, completing exam qualifications in RAD ans ISTD Originally trained in Kuala Lumpur and went on to Wellington Dance and Performing Arts School in New Zealand while pursuing her BCA degree in Victoria University. She also holds qualification of Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Diploma Associate, with 15 years of dancing teaching experience in ballet for young children and adults. She also choreograph ballet, freestyle and Chinese  dance in talent competition for both individual and group performances.

 low siew keng

Started dancing at the age of 7. She has participated in various performance since young, while learning ballet. She performed in Dance Space's production "Cinderella" and took on the role of the wicked Stepmother. She has also successfully completed her RAD Advanced 2. She has over 18 years of teaching experience and she continues to spread her passion in ballet through teaching. 


 Quek wan yong (angelyn)

Started her ballet training at the age of 6 at Dance Space. She has performed in past productions of Dance Space. Her repertoire highlights included the soloist of cynets and the role as one of the six princesses in “The Swan Lake” (2013) as well as the soloist role in “Giselle” (2015). In 2014, Angelyn completed the RAD qualification with a distinction. She was a finalist at the TDS Classical Ballet Solo Competition in 2011 and 2014. Angelyn also choreographed Dance Space children’s concert “Genevieve, The Barbie Doll” (2015). Currently she is one of the Dance Space Instructors with more than 5 years teaching experience.
